1) Acceptance

By accessing or using Spy A Thief, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2) Safety & Law Enforcement

• Spy A Thief is a community awareness tool. It is not law enforcement or emergency services.
• In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not use this app to report emergencies.
• Do not attempt to confront suspects. Use the app for awareness and reporting only.

3) User content & conduct

• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit (reports, sightings, photos).
• Submitting false, misleading, or malicious reports is prohibited and may be referred to law enforcement.
• No harassment, threats, hate, or doxxing. No copyrighted content without permission.
• We may remove content or suspend access to protect users and comply with law.

4) Location information

We may display approximate locations on maps for awareness. Do not rely on the app as the sole method to locate vehicles or people.

5) Payments & refunds

• Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorize charges when purchasing features.
• All payments are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where we state otherwise in writing.

6) Intellectual property

We own the Spy A Thief platform, branding, and software. You grant us a license to host and display content you submit for the purpose of operating the service.

7) Service changes & availability

We may modify or discontinue features. We are not liable for outages, delays, or data loss.

8) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or your content.

9) Disclaimers & limitation of liability

• Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.

10) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflicts of law. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located there.

11) Dispute resolution; class action waiver (optional)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes will be resolved individually and you waive participation in class actions. (Consult your attorney before enforcing arbitration/waivers.)

12) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risks to users or the service. You may stop using the service at any time.

13) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post changes with an updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
